Ask Allah to "let Saman study the right things for her exams, help her retain all that she studies and if she has no clue what the answer is then please just guide her to the correct one..."

but how is it batameez when I am advicing the girls to stay away from boys? It would've been batameez if I asked them not to stay away from boys...

Don't quote me on this one but I think the arabic word fitnah means "trial, testing."
But the connotation implied with this word is usually "creating mischief" for the Muslim ummah.
Something that threatenss the wellbeing of the ummah.
For example: mixed parties can cause fitnah, irshad manji's opinions are a fitnah, disagreements in Islam just for the sake of argument is fitnah, boys are a fitnah etc etc...

I was in a class where the average was 89% on an exam. I got something like a 98% and was barely barely clinging onto a flippin A-. Not the minus part! :@.

Math class averages are between 50%-60%
98 was A-?? what was A? 99%? and A+? 101?

Ah yes, finally made a "Public" blogger account :D muwahah.
T'was the first exam, so 99 and up was A & A+ lol. But by the final the average depressed, but very slightly. I think the mark for an A ended up being something like 95% or so?
Class was Bot 380.
(I've learnt not to take those classes stacked with pre-meds anymore :@)
i think Faruqa took that class last yr (bot)... said it ws super-easy.. i guess hence the reason for the high averages. (yes, she got accepted into med)
Yeh pretty easy. Just memorization I guess. A lot of people are good at the whole memorization thing. I *can* be if I try and all but it just doesn't come to me naturally. Memorization used to come naturally to me. I think that if you stop using your memorizing capability you begin to lose it?
Both my brothers have really good memories and same with my father. My lil brother is a lazy one in the world of academia though *shakes fist* lol.
